Concerts for the 2019-2020 Season

Wednesday 17 April 2019 8pm – Aspects of Jazz .BBC Young Jazz Musician 2016 Alexandra Ridout (20) – trumpet, and Co-finalist Noah Stoneman (18) -piano, will perform a mixture of jazz favourites and originals. Having worked closely together in many different musical settings, the rapport between them is instantly apparent and their duo performances have delighted audiences nationwide.

Wednesday 19 June 2019 8pm . Ugnius Pauliukonis (Piano). Letters from Chopin.

Sunday 15 September 2019 3pm. Katie Sazanova (Flute) and Sally Halsey (piano). Tchaikovsky, Taffanel and others.

Sunday 20th October 2019, 3pm. “Pink Champagne”. Marilyn Hill Smith (Soprano) and Ian MacMillan (Piano).

Sunday 17th November 2019, 3pm. Young Performers’ Platform. Presenting gifted young musicians with a future.

Sunday 19th January 2020,3pm. Gina McCormack (Violin) and Nigel Clayton (Piano). Mendelssohn Sonata in F major (1838), Finzi Elegy, Debussy Sonata, Faure Romance, Saint-Saëns Sonata in D minor

Sunday 16th February 2020, 3pm. Trio Volant, Thomas Evans
(Clarinet) , Bea Hubble (Oboe), Richard Beards (Bassoon), play Mozart, Rossini and Beethoven.

Sunday 15th March 2020, 3pm.A Piano Recital by Lara Melda, BBC Young Musician 2010 winner
The programme will include pieces by Chopin, Prokofiev and Rachmaninov.

Should an advertised artist be unable to fulfil the engagement, the club will endeavour to find an appropriate replacement.
