Our Recent Concert 19 June 2019

One of the leading pianists of Lithuania’s new generation, Ugnius Pauliakonis, gave a recital of piano works by Chopin, Debussy and Haydn. Our members and visitors were treated to an excellent concert, and particularly welcomed the background information and introductions provided by Ugnius.

We all appreciated his engagement with the audience, and he kindly agreed to draw the raffle and award the prizes.

At the end of the concert, he was presented with a bouquet from an appreciative fellow-Lithuanian.

Here is a picture taken after the concert. It shows (from left to right) :-

  • Ugnius Pauliakonis
  • David Darby – Concert Secretary and Vice President
  • Doris Houghton – Club President
  • Himadri Chatterjee – Club Chairman

A marvellous concert. Thank you Ugnius.
